Raspberry-Blueberry Crisp / Orman Meyveli Crisp


Aprils showers bring May flowers... And my favorite fruits! Berries, peaches, apricots are everywhere! It makes me happy to stroll around the farmer's market to see the stalls with colorful, delicious spring produce. While I am counting down the days to get my hands on some cherries to make jam and bake potentially every other recipe I can find, I am currently enjoying the lovely berries of the season./ Baharin gelmesiyle beraber yaz mevyeleri cikmaya basladi. Kayisi, seftali, cilek tezgahlara dustukce icimi bir yaza dair bir heyecan kapliyor. Her ne kadar kese kagidi icinde kiraz-erik almanin tadini cok ozlesem bile burdaki pazarlarda buldugum ahududu, yaban mersini, bogurtlenlerle simdilik son derece mutluyum.





























I have always been a fruity dessert kind of girl and yesterday was a fruity dessert kind of day. I baked raspberry-blueberry crisp topped with whole wheat flour, oatmeal and pecans./ Bahar heycaniyla eve doldurdugum dunya kadar meyvenin artik tatliya donusme vakti bu haftasonu geldi. Dun ahududu-yaban mersini "crisp" yaptim. Sevgili bahar meyvelerimin uzerine kepek unu, yulaf ve pecan (bir cesit ceviz) karisimi hazirlayip, pisirdim. Hafif ve inanilmaz lezzetli bir tatli oldu.







































 Toss 3 cups of raspberries and 3 cups of blueberries with 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of corn starch and the juice of 1/2 lemon./ Toplamda 1.5 kilo meyve olucak kadar, yaklasik 3 su bardagi ahududu ile 3 su bardagi yaban mersinini 2 yemek kasigi esmer seker, 2 yemek kasigi misir nisastasi ve 1/2 limonun suyu ile karistirin.




Pulse 2/3 cups of brown sugar, 4 tablespoons of cold butter, 1/2 cups of rolled oats, 1/2 cup whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup chopped pecans, 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon and a pinch of salt in a food processor./ 2/3 su bardagi esmer seker, 4 yemek kasigi soguk tereyagi, 1/2 su bardagi yulaf ezmesi, 1/2 su bardagi kepek unu, 1/2 su bardagi dogranmis ceviz, 1/2 yemek kasigi tarcin ve bir tutam tuzu mutfak robotundan gecirin. 












In a greased 9-inch pan, spread the fruit and sprinkle over the crumble. Bake at 375 around 40- 45 minutes./ Yaglanmis yaklasik 24 cm capindaki bir kabin icine meyveleri koyup, uzerine unlu karisimi serpistirin.  Onceden isitilmis 190 derecede 40- 45 dakika pisirin.






Fruits in this recipe are interchangeable. Use strawberries, add blackberries, bake blueberry or raspberry-only versions. Try with different combinations of apples, peaches and pears. Cooking time might change depending on the firmness of the fruits but the outcome will be delicious regardless. A succulent fruit base with an earthy and slightly nutty crisp./ Bu tarifteki meyveler baska alternatiflerle degistirilebilir. Hatta degistirilmeli :) Cilek, bogurtlen, sadece ahududu yada yaban mersini ile deneyebilir yada elma, seftali yada armutla pisirebilirsiniz. Pisirme suresi yumusak meyvelerde biraz az, elma armut gibi sert meyvelerde biraz daha uzun olacaktir, ama pistikce suyunu birakan yumusamis meyveler ve yulafli kepekli karisim ile ortaya cikan lezzet her turlu cok guzel.
